2025 POND SCUM

Steve Loughran

Captain

Steve reached the 1000 games played for Pond Scum in 2023 and is one of two players remaining from the 1988 team. Between games, he's either having a beer or a nap.

Chris Burr

Assistant Captain, Pitcher

Chris is the other remaining member from the 1988 team. He has pitched 729 games for the team and counting. A Cowboys and Leafs fan so you know he's a good guy who has experienced a lot of pain.

Tony Titus

Outfield

Tony joined the team in 1998. Bats leadoff and is the team's tiebreaking guru. Was once caught by the team's beer police for trying to pay beer fines with Laker Lager.

Vern Stadnisky

Infield, Pitcher

Verno has been a proud member of Scum for many years. Plays infield and is a great 3rd base coach. If he's not buying you a beer, you can find him socializing with the other team in their dugout.

Zach Burr

Shortstop

Zach moved to shortstop in '22 and is the team's lone Bills representative. Probably has more hair than all the guys together mentioned above.

Chris Hope

Outfield

Hoper rejoined the team in '23 after a brief stint with the Detonators (who imploded). Known for making some highlight plays in the field. Once had local kids throwing stones at him during a game in Mitchell.

Vic Eskildsen

Outfield

Vic joined the team in 2012 and has been manning the Scum outfield ever since. He's a Patriots fan but we don't hold that against him. The sole member of the Labbatts Blue fan club.

Cory Ladkin

Outfield, Pitcher

Cory became Scum in 2020 and can do it all.....infield, outfield and pitch. Makes a great buffalo chicken dip.

Andrew Cleary

Outfield, First Base

Son of the legendary Johnny Five, Andrew first played with Scum in 2021. A regular patron of The Underground sports bar. Likes transfusions and the Colts.

Dale Foster

Outfield

Dale is also joining the team in '24. Not much is known about him yet other than he coaches his son's teams and his name is Dale. He will be the first player in team history to have a jersey number in the 90's.

Pat Marcon

Outfield

Pat is joining the team in '24 and we are happy to say Pat, you are Scum. His son has applied for the bat boy job (application under review). Pat is a passionate, long suffering Lions fan.

Daniel Lofgren

First Base, Third Base

Joining the team in June '24, he came out and mashed 4 home runs his first tournament so I guess he's ok.

John Scott

Outfield

Jonny Scott is a friend of Andrew, and after he told him about the legendary Scum team, he just had to be a part of it! Welcome Jonny!

John Riosa

Outfield

John has quite the resume including multiple rings, a senior mens home run title in Florida, and runs hitting clinics. We will show him all the wrong ways to hit. Welcome John!
